Spring Break

Normally Spring Break evokes visions of bikinis, excessive alcohol, wet t-shirt contests and wild partying - all night long. BUT that is not the type of Spring Break I will be taking. My Spring Break will involve digging in the dirt, planting, weeding, raking, cleaning, training for a 5K in May, playing with grand babies, visiting with my parents, AND preparing for the arrival of our newest family member - a precious granddaughter who will be arriving in July ! So...this blogger will be resting her keyboard for a while. I need a break from the world of technology and I need to get back to a simpler life style for a bit. I need to walk barefoot in the dirt, feel the sweat running down my back and when I lay down at night I want to feel the ache in my bones which will remind me that I am alive. When I am able I will visit all of you so I can catch up on all that is happening in your world. So... celebrate each day and take care!

Deb, I'm sure you're making the right choice for yourself but I will miss your posts. You enjoy playing in the dirt, bouncing that new grandbaby on your knee and don't train too hard!

Your Spring Break sounds replenishment. I too love that ache in the body at night that says--I am alive and I have done something.

Sounds like your life is full and good.

Enjoy your Spring Break. We just came back from watching that excessive drinking and bikini stuff and am sure glad that's all behind.
I love your style much more.
Enjoy your special family.
But don't forget to come back.

Deb, enjoy your barefoot walk with nature. I love to sit on the ground and plant flowers. The only problem now is trying to get up from the ground. It's nice to have grandbabies to play with, hope to hear from you after some healthy self care. Candace

Hello, I am new to your blog. Happened over here from another blog. In reading this post and your profile, it would seem we are much in the same place in life. I'll stop back soon for another helping of your very down to earth posts.
