I'm Rockin'

Hello to my Blogging Friends ~ I just wanted to check in. I haven't had too much free time lately since I have been rocking, burping and loving the newest additions to our family. I have been offering support to the new parents, offering advice -if asked, and standing back and watching with pride as my daughter and son-in-law begin this newest adventure. I am figuring out how to be a grammie, what it means to be a grammie and trying to decide if I look like a grammie. I have a few potential posts to write and I promise to come and visit all of you soon! Thank you so much for your kind words and well-wishes. Keep your fingers crossed - the babies might be able to go home this weekend! Yahoo! Here I am with my grandbabies - just a tad proud and bursting with love and happiness!

I'm not sure if there is a specific look a Grandma is supposed to have. A friend of mine -grew up down the street from me many years ago now -tells me all the time that I look more and more like my Grandma did. Not sure how I should take that comment because my grandma looked OLD, really old, to me anyway. Oh heck, let's face it, in my case I am OLD, not quite really old but moving in that direction really fast!
You, on the other hand, look really young and in truth, I think the real "Grandma look" is all in the eyes -that look of pride, happiness, joy -that I think all of us get when someone even mentions our grandkids to us or when they are in our view! And baby, you've definitely got that look in your eyes!

You look as though your cup runneth over - which I'm sure it does. Best healthy wishes for the babies and fingers crossed they come home soon.

You're never a grandma! Would never be able to tell, anyway.

Gorgeous babies.

Congratulations Deb!!
What a nice surprise I find here. It has been some time since last time I read your posts.

Congratulations and wish the twins, you, your daughter and the whole family all the best and to be healthy and peaceful. This brings nice memories to me when my son was born seven months ago.

Take care

All sweetness! I love that you are offering advice (when asked) and help. So many grandparents go and need to be tended to almost more than the babies--thus wearing out the poor parents. In my case, there were no grandparents at all, and it made me sad. One of my biggest goals is to stay healthy in mind and body so when my daughters have children (a long time from now--the oldest is only 7), I can go and really, REALLY help them.
