Oh, Deer !

This was the view out of my window late yesterday afternoon during the snowstorm. At first I saw just one deer and I ran to get my camera. Then I noticed that there was a second deer in the distance and then deer number three made himself/herself visible and I tried to get all three together for a family portrait but they wouldn't cooperate for me. Imagine my surprise when a fourth deer meandered into view. I was wishing I had a wider lens but with or without the pictures, I am quite sure I won't forget any time soon the view outside of my window.

  3. A couple months back, I saw a few deer in our backyard and tried to get a picture of 'em. One of the drawbacks with my little digital camera -couldn't get the darned deer to show up in the pics! Yours turned out really good though.

  7. The photos are an inspiration. I'm torn between loving the beauty of the deer and grousing about their appetites. It's fortunate that we don't try to have a manicured yard.

  8. That was a lovely sight.
I was very sorry to hear that the deer in Scotland are dying because of the long winter & being unable to reach the heather trapped under snow and ice.

  9. That's quite a storm you've had, but to find the deer and did get those shots is exceptional. Be careful he doesn't jump right through your window.

  12. Oh! That's so magnificent. Forget about the fact that the deer eat the gardens ... they are so enchanting. Thanks for sharing.
